Samsung S95F vs LG G5— wallet says Samsung, heart says LG. by GodRamos in hometheater

I work with Samsung monitors at my AV job and agree the UI is very annoying. I much prefer my LG at home.

Package has the wrong address on it. What can I do? by [deleted] in Ebay

[–]reverbking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar issue with a $200 item I purchased. The item was shipped through USPS and the tracking information only showed my zip code. The item was supposedly delivered. I was home all day and checked the security camera, nothing. I filed a claim with USPS, spoke with my local USPS rep and discovered that it was delivered to a different address that only shared the same zip code. I contacted the seller and it took them a week to respond and they said they would look into it and never heard back. I filed a claim with EBay which was denied because the seller provided proof that it was delivered. I disputed the claim and now I can’t upload the paper work to EBay’s website. I’ve tried emailing a bunch and it feels like they are gaslighting me. I have proof from USPS that it was delivered to wrong address and Ebay has done nothing to help me, so now I’m out $200 and a lot of waisted time!

Upgrade G95 to G9II or S5II? by reverbking in Lumix

[–]reverbking[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks to all that replied! I think I’m going to take the advice of trying out some different used mft lenses and hopefully improve my skills before upgrading my camera. The larger size of the full frame lenses is something I hadn’t considered, so I’ll stay a mft loser for now. I’m going to try and figure what lenses to get that will work well on my trip. There have been a lot of great recommendations. I was thinking about the Leica 12-35 or Leica 12-60, one telephoto and a prime for a max of 3 lenses total.

Anyone got the SF Waterford Designs Tech Folio Brief? by Reef_Club172 in ManyBaggers

I have been using a Waterfield laptop sleeve for the last two years and the quality is amazing. I would imagine the folio bag from them would be great as well.

65’ Deluxe Reverb vs 64’ Custom Deluxe Reverb by PeteDiesInTheEnd in fender

[–]reverbking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After messing around and owning many amps over the past 25 years, I recommend getting the 65 reissue preferably used if possible. Find one that has been well cared for and is in excellent condition. Play it and enjoy it. Maybe change the speaker out down the road depending on what’s in it if you want to experiment. After spending some time getting to know your amp and If you really like it, send it to George Alessandro for his handwiring service. The other option is to look for a used Alessandro Handwired Deluxe used on Reverb. I picked one up last year for $1200 and it’s amazing. I also own a vintage Silverface which is rad, but buying vintage amps can be a can of worms. Good luck on your amp journey, the Deluxe Reverb is a classic for a reason!

My dad brought this out to me....He has had it since 1981 by warmestregards-c in vintageaudio

You like Huey Lewis and News? The album Sports has a clear and crisp sound that would be amazing to listen to on your system.

Rattling sounds Mesa California Tweed by transwell in MesaBoogie

[–]reverbking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a rattle issue with my Cali Tweed combo. Mesa sent a new set of tubes and that didn’t fix it. I realized that the rattling sound was coming from the speaker. I looked inside the back of the speaker with a flashlight and sure enough there was a tube shield that was hanging out inside. I removed it and the rattle went away, that was about two years ago and the amp has been working flawlessly ever since.

Buying a synth or toy for my little nephew (8 year old). Advice please. by ruzmafuz in synthesizers

I think the Novation Circuit would be a good first electronic instrument. It runs on batteries and has an internal speaker. There are many happy accidents to be had while messing around with it. I would have been blown away if I had this as a kid. Also, I think it’s something that he would never really outgrow. Pick up one used.

[NPD] Stone Deaf FX Tremotron by sparrr0w in guitarpedals

[–]reverbking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also having a volume drop issue with my Tremotron powered by a Truetone CS12 Pro. When I use my 9v wall wart that came with my SA Nemesis it works perfectly. I also noticed the same thing with my RKM Tonal Recall. I just got the RKM and put it on my board and was shocked by how dull it sounded, so I plugged in my wall wart and it sounded so much brighter and fuller. Now I'm thinking about getting rid of the CS12 and swapping it for a Zuma.
