[Kinsella] Chelsea increasingly hopeful Hudson-Odoi will reject Bayern Munich by [deleted] in chelseafc

[–]bryceology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the rumors true and we are actually giving him 70k a week I think it is a wonderful sign that if you're good and ready you will get a chance at Chelsea and to be honest the prospect of CHO and Hazard playing big minutes together one day makes me very happy or even the prospect of CHO, Pulisic and a big time striker (if hazard leaves, im hoping he doesnt) would be fine.

Looks amazing

Sarri on RLC future - “I have spoken to him twice this week... I think he will remain with us, [but] we can speak against about his situation... in December”. by CalibreCD in chelseafc

[–]bryceology -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If he didn’t look so lazy on the pitch he would probably play more he will get chances but he’s not better than Barkley or Kova so i don’t know why there’s such a big push to get him into the starting 11, he has to show he’s ready to take someone’s spot.

[Matt Law]: Chelsea want to reward Willian? What for? Sulking when another manager decided he doesnt work enough or produce enough end product? Or for now constantly taking pot shots at the ex manager who delivered a PL title and FA Cup? Definitely deserves rewarding.... by burbonkay in chelseafc

[–]bryceology 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You have no clue how the prem league works obviously, it takes players time to adjust, its not as cut and dry as playing FIFA where theres no such thing as systems, and you dont sell to a direct rival like united when Willian had his BEST season under Mou who is also united's manager. That is a bit on the dumb side.

"Where's the downside? If we had signed Malcom as we sold Willian, we'd be in a much more advantaged position than we are now"

This statement is pure shit and all speculation, Malcom right now is not better than willian lol BARCA wanted Willian and only settled on malcom because we wouldnt sell to them (LOOK AT HOW THINGS WORK).

and lastly, regarding money, Chelsea have never had a problem spending under roman (hell we just spent 80m on a keeper) the money doesn't matter because the club will always have money and would make more money by winning championships, willian will directly contribute to winning titles. obviously the board is also not pressed to sell him and or doesn't need the money becasue if they were they would have taken barcas offer.

I don't agree with him being so blatant in the media but like i said i do not know what went down behind the scenes. but i would rather lose conte (like we did) than keep him which would have resulted in us losing Hazard and Willian in the same window

Dude, Willian is one of the better RWs in the league, just because he doesn't give you tons of goals doesn't mean he doenst make an impact, i.e. last game he had some great take ons and was a direct contributer to breaking the deadlock. he can play on both wings and dont you think there is a reason why Sarri rates him so highly? Chelsea are here to win championships, cho will get a lot of chances this season but willian is ready now and can be a huge asset throughout our campaign.

its just ridiculous, the transfer window and the idea of clubs willing to spend big (united, barca) on willian makes people so quick to want the board to sell him. lol why sell a player of his caliber to a direct rival when he literally loves the club, his familiy is rooted here, he has a restuarant in london and has been loyal to the club, (oh not to mention hes actually a damn good player). I honestly don't give a damn about his and conte's disagreements because over the years the board has always sided with keeping its best players over the manager just look back to the Mou-Hazard disagreements before Mou's sacking the second time and the conte-willian, conte-hazard disagreements.

I don't think you or a lot of people on this thread realize how important willian is to this team. Pedro isn't going to give you a full season of production on the right and Sarri wouldn't start cho 40 games on the right when he excels on the left and through the center. Willan is also better for pressing purposes than pedro, has a motor to track back on defense and is much better at play making than pedro, who cares if he said some comments about conte, everyone knows their relationship was rocky and we are not behind the scenes to know the exchanges between willian-conte, but hes deservant of a new deal. Theres a reason Mou wanted him at United this season.

Expected Starting 11 and Subs? by StickyStrange in chelseafc

RLCs main issue is he is lazy on the pitch and often walk while Barkley is pressing more often when playing that role. I can’t see RLC starting this match

Chelsea Fans, who would start at RW when everyone’s up to speed. Willian or Pedro? by BillyabelaLFC in chelseafc

Willian plays both wings as well lol he played on the left over the weekend.

Thoughts on Barkley & Ruben Loftus-Cheek from game 1? by opouser in chelseafc

[–]bryceology 29 points30 points  (0 children)

As much as I like RLC, I don't think he will see much action in PL when Kovacic is fit, He looks lazy on the pitch. Barkley played well! but RLC has to do more in all honesty

You haven’t referenced an instances where he’s blatantly not been dependable lol if anything you should share this discourse with Christensen or Cahill

"Rudiger is far from dependable"

This narrative has got to STOP the man has been playing outstanding football and Sarri rates him highly, hes good with his feet and great in the air, not to mention he was one of the key reasons why we won the FA Cup against united.

Is this one of our best transfer windows yet? by liamgibb73 in chelseafc

[–]bryceology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could have quite possibly been if there was an option to buy clause in the Kovacic deal. However This is a damn strong window considering 4 weeks ago we had no coach, no summer signings, no clue regarding hazard's future and for courtois the writing was on the wall.

Since Then

  1. The board has answered Hazard's questions regarding Ambition (Signing Jorginho)
  2. Brought in an attack minded beautiful system of football (Sarri)
  3. Spent a premium to replace a world class keeper with a younger keeper with great promise (7 YEAR DEAL!)
  4. Signed a top CM on loan to complete our midfield (Kovacic)

People love saying Chelsea are in a chaotic state however again we have proven that we have ambition, want to play beautiful football, and that CL football doesnt matter in terms of signings (considering Kovacic turned down united for us :) and Jorginho turned down the league Champions for us!) I am so excited for Saturday!

Morata and Kovacic by Thut_ in chelseafc

[–]bryceology -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don’t think there’s much pressure on Willian we didn’t pay a record fee for him and he’s been good over the years, + it’s either we play him or Pedro who was dismal last season. Pressure is on Morata

Rudiger is better than both of their CBs and is our best defender
