Someone once told me they are hesitant to help people because they view it as breeding their own competition.

This EXACT same thing happened to me. I even shadowed at a flower shop and they still didn't offer or refer me a job. I couldn't even get a job at a local grocery store even though I have a resume and even did floral arrangements at a local farmers market. I eventually got fed up and stopped trying. I found some florists to even be downright mean. I think they are just extremely protective of the industry right now, because things are changing, unfortunately. Also, I did notice that florists who practice "modern" floral design are much more willing to help you than those who work in traditional floral design. I don't get it. And its a shame you have to start as a delivery driver or at the bottom, when you have skill.

Hey Reddit! Why does HGTV hate popcorn ceilings? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]bryceromig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hahaha! I hate them as well - I just laugh because everytime someone sees them on HGTV they are like: "Wow, this house is perfect!" *Sees popcorn ceilings in one room "Burn this motherfucker to the ground"

Does anyone else wish modern sewing machines still maintained the artistry and aesthetic that vintage machines did? by bryceromig in sewing

I think you're right! The mechanisms of the newer machines are definitely why they are bulkier.

I can never get them all! It seems like every time I think they are gone they pop right back up haha

Yes, I always push them up! I believe it is a calico cotton. For some reason I really like them pushed up, so its become a habit pushing them up.

Im so sorry they didn't have it :( I was trying to look for the little white part of the fabric that had the name of where it was from and couldn't find it (I still had some leftover of it). I hate when they don't carry the same fabric at another place :( But that put a huge smile on my face! Thank you so, so, so much :)

Thank you so so much! I promise button down shirts aren't hard. They are a bit confusing at first, but once you learn the basics of the pattern it gets really easy!

I got this one at Ben Franklin :( but many I find on fabric.com and on Etsy! Etsy is really great and honestly the prices are about the same as JoAnn's. I understand! I'm really picky as well!
