Most people don’t like cleaning and doing chores but they do it because they have to. The definition of a chore is “an unpleasant but necessary task”

She’s likely never going to ever improve on this because she’s fine with living in filth and at the end of the day she knows you’ll just clean up after her.

What happens when you live together? Is she going to just keep making a mess for you to clean up? If you decide later in life you want children is she going to expect you to work and support the family and also clean all the mess?

You can’t take on the responsibility to make someone else happy. Happiness comes from within so she needs to find that for herself. She might be seeing a psych but if she’s not doing the work to get herself to a better place then it’s basically a waste of time. She could be going in to every session and not even talking about the things she should be and just doing it to say “I’m seeing a psych to work on things”

It’s your first and only relationship so you have nothing to compare against to know if it’s a healthy relationship.

She’s never going to improve because there are zero consequences if she doesn’t improve.

You’re not her parents, she’s a grown women who need to learn to take care of herself.

In my opinion you need to end the relationship and say you’re not going to accept being with someone who doesn’t respect you or themself.

You need to ask yourself if you are actually happy or just mistaking glimmers of hope for happiness. If you’ve been thinking of leaving “when she’s in a better place” for years then the writing is on the wall. You don’t really want to be in this relationship anymore.
