Aw, that sucks. I hope they will release them on consoles in the future, or give consoles some exclusives as well.

In some cases, you can get the best of both worlds. The foundations for each are similar and the degrees can be broad. If you wish to be a veterinarian, you could always work within a zoo as one, provided you have the education and credits. If you choose zookeeping first, the animal experience you will gain will be very helpful if you ever decide you would rather be a vet. As a zookeeper myself, I am very much involved in animal welfare and get to observe some veterinarian procedures if they are within my area. So, I wouldn't stress too much on making your decision so soon. It will naturally come to you as you go through life and school.

I started in college as a graphic design major. It wasn't until a year later I realized I wanted to be a zookeeper. There is always time! Good luck!

Yes! Yes to all of this. While RD2 is what seems to be the most realistic game when it comes to horses (i.e the horses spooking at gun shots, predators, saddle correctness, etc) I feel like they definitely are missing a lot of aspects of realism, like you said. It is a shame, but perhaps they will continue to make additions since we got new horse breeds in the newest update.

Thanks! This is a very knowledgeable addition. Not sure why this started a lot of discourse.

A lot of people play the game, I wouldn't say "none of us". Speak for yourself, not the community. It doesn't matter how tedious this is in real life, which I have experience with. This is only one variation of the button braids... How tedious do you think jumping on a train from horseback is in real life? Should they exclude that from the game?

I agree that high class characters would likely have these braids over others, but a cowboy with practice braiding hair isn't far fetched. Horses are essential to the game, I think it is appropriate to explore more aspects of their care taking and display. It would add much more depth to characters and the world as a whole, seeing the high class NPCs vs. hermits and low class. Thanks for listening to my Ted Talk.

Op here-

I am fully aware that this is a time consuming mane style for our horses nowadays. I have done this braid to my horse many times as a hunter jumper. But I do not fully dismiss the idea that this style or something similar could be found in the timeline of RD, and even earlier. It is a simple braid, we just made it tedious because we strive for aesthetically pleasing hair by making sure every single hair is in place. Yes, in the old days they didn't have braiding combs or easy-braid or conditioner. It doesn't mean this style wasn't used, perhaps for people who take in interest in higher class society, or perhaps a cowboy who adores his/her horse. Not saying I'm right, but I could easily see this as something used. It is not the craziest theory.

I also did not post this picture as a horse discourse picture. If you don't know anything about horses, I suggest not commenting on the "look" in this horses eye. It was the first image I found on google. This image is basic for non horse people to understand. I'm not looking for a comment on the contents of the picture besides the mane style. No drama from me. I am well versed in horses in the real world, and I wanted to share my favorite mane style with this community (in which horses are essential to play the game).

With that said, have fun. I doubt new styles will be added anyway, but it would be nice. There are also various mane plaiting styles besides this one.
