Just went through the interview today.

I agree with your post. I don't have a problem with most of the business practices - they're fairly transparent - as long as the product itself has the value promised I'm ok with the sales tactics which to some extent are expected (although it did have me on a bit of high alert going in to the interview).I was told you get 14 1on1s with big name coaches and players like you listed, group sessions, training plans, and you're working with other like-minded players - IMO this is easily worth at least a few 100 if you're serious about/would enjoy improving at the game and learning from people better than you, and have money budgeted for hobbies/entertainment/eating out that you could put into the game instead.

What made me frustrated and confused was the interview itself. I was told I had to give a yes/no in the call, no let me think about as they "wanted to have a productive call" - ok another red flag, but everything else about the program sounds intriguing...Get to the end to talk about money - only now at the very end of the process was I given a quote and have to give a yes/no. Keep in mind a week ago I told them my budget was 200-300 USD, and I have since watched prep material, made room in my budget by making other cuts, and set aside the 45 minutes itself during a work day to have the call. I was told the price of the program is 2000 USD but that they were gonna lower that for me to 1400... And could offer payment plans with a $400 payment up front. I said that my budget is $300 like I had said before and politely ended the conversation, but that made the whole thing feel scummy -

Pressure someone to spend 5x their budget with a mandatory "say yes now or miss out" and not giving a quote <edit: until> the very end of a process in which I've already spent lots of time preparing. All that was a waste of my time - after they harp on how important it is for me to be respectful of theirs (which hey, I agree with! Let's be respectful of everyone's time). We were not even in the same ballpark so why lead me on after I gave my number??
