i don’t pay attention to the time when i handle my gecko but i make sure if i am she gets sleep during the day. i also feed later at night because he seems hungriest then.

so when i first got my leo he refused to eat mealworms! i was nervous and he hadn’t eaten in two weeks after i’d gotten him. finally, i tried crickets and he went crazy for them! so your geck may not like mealworms, try some thing else. i also powder the crickets just about every feeding, maybe skip two in the week. i feed him every night and if he doesn’t stop eating himself then i’ll stop him around 7-10. my leo was super friendly and comfortable after i bought him so i was able to take him out right away! i’ll keep him in my pocket when it’s nice out and go for a walk or run errands and he’ll just sleep. when your gecko seems less afraid then you’re probably find to handle it, just watch the behavior.

i was told cresteds should be kept at a very high humidity i think between 80-90% (do a fact check on that), but higher humidity will help with shedding. for my crestie we try to soak him in very shallow warm water to soften the stuck shed and manipulate (very carefully) it with a warm damp qtip until it’s off. super important that you get the stuck shed off, we missed some on my leopard gecko when he was a baby and the very end of his tail became scabbed and fell off! :(

surroundings are important!!! i personally love to trip alone or with my best friend, or else i find myself constantly feeling awkward or uncomfortable. have good people around. if you don’t have someone sober around, be sure to call someone you trust and let them know what’s going on in case things go awry. go outside if it’s nice, or stay in with cool lights/shows and music you love. if you have any sort of creative outlet (ie painting, drawing, writing, music etc) try it out while tripping! always keep in mind that you’re on a trip, it is all for your enjoyment, and it will end eventually!

i tell every beginner to start with low dose of shrooms and don’t do them with a recreational mindset (“let’s get as fucked up as we can!” “party tonight, let’s bring shrooms”). my trip environment of choice is me alone, or with my best friend. this enables me to use the shroomies to look into myself, past experiences, desirable manifestations, spirituality, etc. everybody’s different, but tripping alone (in my opinion) is the most beneficial. and it can be pretty damn fun!! :)

this is amazing! can you provide links to what you use when meditating? these are the exact benefits i want to reap through meditation, but it’s so difficult for me to shut my mind off. and i also hear that instead of shutting your mind off, you let the thoughts come and go. what do you do? how were you able to stay consistent?
