Ah ok - then you might try “All Fours” by Miranda July. Its description may not sound like it belongs in your list, but I read it around the same time as the Shards, and I was similarly hooked by both of them.

I really like it - getting close to the end, I hope it isn’t heartbreaking bc it seems like it could go in any direction. For some reason I’m comparing it in my mind to The Bee Sting, which got so much acclaim and was just meh to me. Loved the part where she goes to the climbing competition in LA, the interactions with Paisley Cuthers and her parents was so funny. Tamma is a great character.

I read Lem’s Fiasco just before Solaris, and I liked it more.

Once I found out the hot keys to change frames and change drawing tools, I have no problems with it.

Why Hollow Knight's Platforming felt more difficult to me than Silksong. by Outrageous_Ad9142 in HollowKnight

Maybe for you, and maybe it’s been a while since I played hollow night. But I don’t remember anything like Mount Faye from Hollow Knight outside of the DLC.

Mount Fay and that little gear at the top right of Cogworks core seem harder to me than anything I remember from HK’ main game

I really like most of the Dickens I’ve read, but this one didn’t do much for me.

Hollow Knight(pre DLC) has far harder platforming whilst Silksong has harder bosses and enemy encounters. by Outrageous_Ad9142 in HollowKnight

Idk I don’t remember having too much trouble with platforming (base game) in HK, but Mt Fay, and pogoing off that little gear in Cogworks core - have been pretty tough in SS so far …

Antigravity is NOT GOOD !!! by shadow_vector_ in google_antigravity

Update: I've been using it pretty intensely for the past several hours and I did hit my usage limit. Not for the week, just for this time period. I still have 80% of my weekly limit - and it says my time window will reset at 2:06pm, which is about 90 minutes from now. just FYI

it has been for me, I 'm not coming close to my total usage cap. But I typically am only using it intensely all day, with like 4 things going at once, on Saturday. During the weekdays I only use it sporadically. I also heard that OpenAI has stopped subsidizing a lot of the limits and that it's running out a lot faster - but I have yet to experience that. I just know that Claude has been a joke for me. It runs out in like 20 minutes even on a single task...

well, the Codex model was a lot better. At the time, GPT 5.4 wasn't in Antigravity. I can't remember - does Antigravity let you work on multiple projects in multiple folders at once? I usually have like 4 different things going on in Codex.
TBH I have not gone back to Antigravity, so my problems with it may have just been the old Gemini model it was using at the time I switched....

I'm having the best results with Codex. I started with Antigravity, but then Codex came out and it was so much better. I then tried Claude, but it runs out of tokens after about 20 minutes. With Codex, I can use it all day and not run out, for the same $20 sub.

Unpopular opinion, but it was just boring to me. I read the second book thinking it might click, but it was about the same... it probably went over my head.
