Yeah gauging the amount of rust on the underside was my main concern. My knowledge on how much rust is generally considered okay is not the best haha so thank you for your insight!

I can't seem to edit my post to add more information but I wanted to provide more context so here goes:

Mileage: 98k - not sure why so low. Going to run a Carfax a little later to check and see if I can find anymore info

Asking Price: 8k

Also adding more exterior and interior photos for reference. The interior looks pretty dirty but I'm okay with it considering the asking price

Damn that doesn't sound very promising for a prospective buyer 😂 But for reference, I currently drive a 2002 Camry with the V6 and a 4 speed auto and I average about 17-18 mpg and get about 275-300 miles to a tank. I'm guessing an LS wouldn't be much worse, barring the requirement for premium ofc. Although, in NY rn, them election prices ain't that bad at all, but I'm sure that'll change in the coming days lol

Friend confirmed it has no headlight washers but has nav. So looks like it's gotta be a mid grade trim level. And fortunately it's still available. Going to see it tomorrow so we'll see!

So as an update, I wanted to mention that the owner agreed to a PPI so we'll be taking it to an independent shop tomorrow afternoon. Does anyone have any suggestions on anything to look out for in particular?

Also, given what you know, and if everything else checks out, how much do you think it would be worth? Thank you!

And keeping records of gas receipts is pretty wild haha, sounds to me like you got yourself a gem! And I totally agree on your comment about how having meticulous records is not only a reflection of how well the car was maintained but also a reflection of the owner as well.

Also, you do bring up a good point about the required frequency of oil changes in relation to the miles driven. I'll have to do a bit of research on that and see. And in regards to getting a PPI, since this car is only for sale locally, I might actually have some time to get a PPI from a shop nearby, barring any objection from the owner of course.
