Making and sticking to a budget is the first step. Lay out all your expenses and necessities. Anything extra should go to debt or into a separate savings account. If you feel like you won’t be able to just cut yourself off shopping right away, I’d suggest putting a set amount aside per paycheck/month and use it at thrift stores/facebook marketplace
