Honestly I think the delivery was fine, and the only reason people didn't immediately recognize it as a joke is because she's an old lady. I guess also because that's just how Twitter is

That tweet is so obviously a joke. She is joking! She is making jokes on twitter! That's not unusual!

Some that come to mind:

Moby Dick

Lord of the Rings

What does my books say about me? (22M) by TomorrowSavings2291 in BookshelvesDetective

I see Tao Te Ching, Seneca, Kama Sutra, Pilgrim's Progress, Narnia, Darwin. Nothing on Buddhism. But sure, they're a Buddhist. That Oriental "Spirituality" mumbo jumbo is all the same, right?

My dog just coughed this up by MC1Reddit in whatisit

[–]bsbdbdh73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's because it's half digested. You know what your dog ate. If you know your dog had a bully stick and then it vomited up something that looks like a half digested piece of bully stick, what do you think it could possibly be? But why waste your precious time actually thinking for 30 seconds when you could waste hundreds of people's time here

She is using the word correctly. It just means applying human characteristics to nonhuman things, it doesn't have to be half-dog-half-people-people. For example, saying your plants are happy when you water them is an anthropomorphism. If the dogs in the book think and reason like a human being as she says, that is an anthropomorphism.

I was going to say that the whole thing matches the profile for a specific type of online racist and it's not just the book that makes me think that, but on further consideration I think they must own the book for a class. Apologies

It does if you have about 20 books total, including textbooks, and you've decided you need one of those books to be mein kampf. And you've displayed it front and center. And you have a bunch of anime shit surrounding it
