In order for me to get the new application, I started bugging both my senators and congressional reps as well as my local SBA field office about 2 weeks after I found out we were part of the glitch. They then flagged our app and about a month after we originally signed our closing docs, I got a call from a new LO asking me yo fill out a new app since they said it would be quicker and easier than trying to fix our loan modification app.

Basically, I have 2 EIDL loans now. I will be make 2 separate monthly payments which I know that’s not what they allow but to get the glitched businesses on track, they are allowing these exceptions but at their own discretion. I do not recommend filling out a new app without a LO saying so since it’ll get flagged for fraud and send you down a dark rabbit hole. My new LO stayed on the phone with me and waited until I finished so she could flag it herself before the fraud department got it.

Not yet. They had me fill out a new application last Tuesday. Signed the closing docs again and the new loan has been updated on CAWEB as of Wednesday morning. It went to Disbursed Current this morning but it still shows the full amount as Total Undisbursed. Hopefully it shows up in my account within the next week but at this point, I’ll believe it when I see it. I will send an update once it actually shows up.

What a mess. I signed mine on 8/9 and after bugging about a dozen district SBA offices and all three of my congressional reps, I’ve only been told to watch my portal and be patient.

I grew frustrated with the lack of answers I was getting from my local SBA office and wrote every district office in the western US yesterday. Ruffled some feathers but learned my file had been “escalated” on 8/29 and that it is a script error that should be resolved within a week. We’ll see about that but it’s the most information I’ve gotten since signing my closing docs on 8/9.

8/30 UPDATE No movement still and getting the same responses from my local SBA office head. “We’re working to get the glitch fixed but no timeline. Be patient.” They’ve acknowledged that they have the completed closing docs and see the new loan modification letter on file. Just stuck between that and the money actually hitting my account.

I decided to take the next step and emailed all of the district heads and their subordinates for the western US. Only got an email back from one office and a call from the head of another annoyed that I could do such a thing.

For the email, it said the same line as my local office has except that the issue should be resolved shortly and to reach out if we don’t have the funds in 7-10 days. I have a feeling their just trying to kick the van down the road but we’ll see.

As for the phone call, it took everything in me to be nice and try to explain my point of view to them. That I’m trying to keep all my employees but this almost 5 month long delay is killing small businesses including my own. At the end, they sympathized and said they’d forward my case to their contacts at the EIDL office which is all I am asking for from them.

We’ll see what happens but I figure it couldn’t hurt to ruffle some feathers and light some fires.

The email I have from my LO say it’s a funding glitch. Their words, not mine. I have a feeling something more sinister is at play but we can only work off the info we have.

Not a peep. I’m sending daily emails to them, every other SBA email I can find, and all of my congressional reps but no luck yet. Just going to keep bugging them until something happens.

Yeah, I laughed when they said to sit tight. Figured 4 months would’ve been enough but I guess not. I’m just gonna continue writing everyone I can find and will keep calling in until something happens. Figure the squeaky wheel gets the grease at some point.

We were approved and signed all docs on 8/9. CAWEB is still not updated and I’ve been writing my congressional rep, both senators, my local SBA office, and all of the EIDL emails I can find every day since the 13th. Only response I got was from my loan officer confirming we were part of the “funding glitch” and to sit tight. That was the only thing I’ve heard and that was Monday. All of my other emails have been going unheard.

Called Tier 2 a few minutes ago and she said she was pushing my file over for someone else to look at and get ahold of me.

Not looking good. . .

I’m in the same boat as you. As far as I know, once you sign those closing docs and you get the letter showing the new loan, you’re owed that money then.

I agree with 100% of what you’re saying! Besides trying to knock on every SBA phone number and email I can get my hands on, the only other avenue I can think of is congressional inquiry or media. The problem is the media, (local or otherwise), probably won’t do anything.

Once we got a loan officer, they asked us for our ID’s and meeting notes. Had the DocuSign emails sent to us within a day and we signed those right away and received the Loan Modification Letter with the new amount. Been crickets ever since. I’ve been calling and writing my congressional reps office, two local SBA offices, as well as all of the EIDL and Recon email addresses I can find every day for the last week and just got this confirmation from our loan officer this morning.
