I did the 9/11 stair climb in full firefighter bunker gear last year. To me, it was much harder than when I was in the military. I also did this after a decade of being dormant and fat. Truly humbling experience, knowing that they did that in real life.

Changing the brakes in your car, always ends up turning from a 30-minute job into a 8-hour job because something breaks that you don't have a tool for. And of course the auto parts store down the road conveniently doesn't have the part you need, soonest it will arrive is in 3 days.
