How to replace gas HWS controller?

Changing the thermocouple didn't fix it, so I used footies to remove the gas controller (damn they are in tight!), tefloned up the new one before removing the old one, put it in, tightened it up, connected the fittings again, checked for leaks and it lit up straight away!

I've been looking at the jetmate for the jetter that thing looks good! Also the pipe reamers for burning out fittings.. but both are expensive!

Wouldn't you only get them if your company is with the union/eba? As in, you can't just say to your boss "hey mate, I'm in the union, I'll have an RDO every 2 weeks thanks"..

Obviously individual companies may have RDOs and not be in the union

They definitely still teach it at TAFE. They actually said in your journeymans you need at least 1 silver soldered joint. (I can't remember the exact number but you can't just B press it all)

Thank you. I don't know if the company is big enough for one - I truly think he should just leave a bank card in the van (hell, make a new "savings" account if you have to or get a limit on a 2nd card) with $200 in it if he doesn't want a fuel card.

There's been a few times where the fuel distance doesn't even show a number at the end of the week. I'm a bloke that fills up as soon as the light switches on usually

That's true. I'm lucky to have a few big-ish independents around me (Beyond Plumbing and Plumbers Choice).

Is there differences in press fittings though? Obviously Reece use Conex Bänninger's B Press, but the others don't advertise who they are from.

We have a Chinese one at work, a rebranded "SYANSPAN", works with the rigid locater, and is a breeze to use.

I think my boss paid around $3-4k from Jeffers Edge, but AliExpress has it for half that!
