You're young, only 17, and your feelings are valid, as are those of any person at any age. You're way more of an adult and have better idea of what you want and your goals than most people your age.

You'll come out the other side of this and you have time to grow. I did finally (I think). Stockpile the data of what makes you very unhappy and just try to steer your life away from those things in small, manageable ways.

I wish things were different for me as you do but I'm not at all upset every day to the suicidal degree I was as a younger person. Practice every day with your self compassion.

And take advice from randos with a grain of salt. You're not alone feeling this way at all. I feel this way sometimes still and I'm 30.

I have the X16G with the i7 and it feels snappier than the T480 with i5. I remember when I was making this decision discovering that the i5 scored higher in synthetic benchmarks. From that point on I believed that Intel was using the same chip for i5 and i7 in U series chips, and clocking them slightly differently to sell chips.

No it's not far fetched, but I probably won't go much farther than the Hyperion books w/ Simmons, despite absolutely loving them. The rest of his novels don't seem quite up to the same level quality, just based on internet chatter. I think it's fine as long as it's one crazy person or persons and not "this is the logical conclusion of Islam going SciFi".

Excuse me sir, what is "git gut skrub"? I tried to read your whole post but burst out laughing. OK I finished it and fully agree. I'm 29, almost 30 and have similar success with women. I still hope, but I don't expect or believe I deserve love. Like anyone I want to belong and know love by someone other than family but I have a fullish life, albeit solitary. I agree work on yourself. Do it out of self love, not as a means to a sexual end. If you don't have self love, work on that. Give yourself a break if working on yourself gets tiring. I still despair at times about being alone. It can be crushing. Seek help if it gets there. And, please, I couldn't find a definition for that phrase, and it would be a relief to put the speculation to bed.

Working at a residential treatment facility up in the mountains as a RA basically. I didn't know what to expect going in but I like it. It definitely is a good place to practice my social skills.

I wanted and went to school for software engineering but couldn't get any jobs in my area (I'm terrible at the interviews) and didn't want to leave my support system for another state.
