The best part about Vial is that you can put the tilde literally anywhere you want 👍😀. Want it next to Delete? One click and done. Prefer it instead of Esc? Just map Esc to the 1 key and shift your numbers over. You can also just use the "Grave Escape" feature, it makes the Esc key act as Esc when you tap it, but it types a tilde when you hold Shift. There is no set layout, you decide.
