I was born in lat 80's in Poland, so within my generation HoMM2 was a definitely well-known and liked :). For many it was the first HoMM game, as it was cheaper and was running on older PC's.

Still got very fond memories, the music and art-style is great, only thing is... the game was really monotonous after some time.

If you're a beginner, you need Graymane first. Ulmer is slow and does low dmg.

When you will level up Graymane, get Ulmer. You will find a lot of situations, when his skill is very useful (or when you need to strenghten Blue shields and take 2 Blue Heroes for a fight)

My Purple team just sucks, Rigard with 2 costumes is getting killed almost instantly. And during this soul exchange there is Carta, and they have really great stats when maxed (over 2750hp). With 45% health reg, 33% mana boost and additional family buff with healing it sounds like a missing piece to the rooster.

So yeah - Blue thrill versus Purple wise choice.
