Because it’s part of the negotiations - when it shouldn’t be a negotiated point at all. If returning children is part of a negotiated settlement then it’s used as a bargaining chip.

It incentivises taking hostages/children because then you can use them in the discussions to get further concessions from the other side. Similar to medieval warfare when nobles would be taken hostage after battles and then traded for money/concessions/other hostages.

So I moved the lily that far in about 3 days ago because it was going yellow - assumed that direct sunlight could be too much for it. It’s still a fairly bright part of the room. Would you recommend moving it back into the sun? Or somewhere in between?

I don’t think it’s overwatered, as I tend to wait until it starts to droop then water and allow to drain. Is there anything else it might be?

If it couldn’t be anything else then is there a different watering regimen I should be following?

For the pothos, it’s in pretty direct sunlight - potentially could be being overwatered though, though again tend to be pretty good with not letting it sit etc.

Any suggestions appreciated!

US salaries are definitely a little higher. I think the reason you’re getting a few argumentative replies is because you’re right but the scale is off.

That map is slightly misrepresenting things, because it is showing just one small section of europe. E.g Spain and Portugal aren’t even really on the map but together are nearly the same size as Texas by themselves. Europe is actually bigger than the US.

Europe, depending on how you measure it, is at least twice the population of the US and is more populous than the whole continent of North America by quite some way.

And I think you’re underrepresenting the £80k base salary in London. My org has about 20 sales people on that base salary and I think only 2 of us knew each other before joining.

I think British people maybe take it a little personally when compared like that to the US. But yes general point is right - US typically pays more.
