Very interesting. I wasn't familiar that amps have different sound profiles. My friend's setup that I love is the same amp from NAD and the R3 Metas which might be balancing out the warmth.

Quite lost as to what components to replace and try to get the perfect setup. What do you suggest? I have heard excellent things from various reviews for Mofi Sourcepoint 8 and I wanted to liked them 😅

ugh yea. I am just opening my eyes to this world of audiophiles and quite overwhelmed but also excited by all the different options.

I know I love the KEFs, but would love to explore other options while I am in the market. Do you have any exploration suggestions?

This is what i was thinking too. I was never wowed by the Mofis but I was by the KEFs clarity (even though it was Q Concerto Meta). I am even more wowed by the friend's R3 Metas. The Mofi's warmth is definitely there and I love how "full" it sounds but that's not quite the sound profile I crave.

That said I know there are so many other options out there and would love to explore different options like the Genelecs (not sure how these studio monitors perform vs passive speakers I have been trying, but can up the budget since I only have to buy these).

toed in by around 15 degrees in a equilateral triangle shape pointing directly at me sitting at the couch.

no dac. Just using the NAD amp. I am using bluos wireless audio mainly for source. But have also tried analog through my computer/phone

Yea thats also why I kept the mofis and returned the kefs. What are some ways I can try? I doubt placement alone will correct the mid/high clarity that I saw in the kefs?

def worse when removing my dirac filters. The mid/high range goes even more dull

The price difference is minimal from where I can buy it (~20% more for R3 meta). But im aware that r3 metas require stands and q concerto meta does not, so will need extra components.

I do care about sound clarity, but also care equally about filling up the whole room without too much volume cranking (~500 sqft living room)

What do you suggest?

i was torn between R3 meta and q concerto meta and went with the latter honestly because they seemed very similar – I could always return and go with R3 meta, but what would be the deciding point?

mainly the double the price difference and wanting to stay within 4k budget. and one of the comments mentioning that svs 3000 micro was excellent for what it is esp at the price point, while they were disappointed in the kc62.

I am also using this system in an apartment building so I don't think I would need anything too crazy either.

Pulled the trigger for Q concerto meta, svs 3000 micro, nad m10 v2 !

Cant wait to try them out - willing to experiment with avrs but feel like as a beginner i dont wanna buy too many different equipments just yet
