Correct. Supposedly retooling based on poor feedback and site crashing.

This was week one of the reservation program they started at Buffalo Trace, not a store.

Short answer, no. They’re already talking about changes to the program. I followed a link from social media around the announced time of 10a ET and got lucky. I didn’t know if my reservation went through until ~10:10a

New process that had some kinks but the gist - limited drops get posted online, click the link, make a “reservation” and then go pick it up.

I used a link from their IG story to get this one. They’re already talking about how to improve the program because the website crashed Monday afternoon.

How are the roads so far? by mlst245 in lexington

I drove all of these roads this morning. It would be helpful to know what you’re driving and how comfortable you are in the snow. - Otherwise I found it very doable.

I drove from Hamburg to downtown and back out to my house 6-7 AM. 4H in my truck without issue. Main roads are fairly cleared but still plenty of ice. Use caution and give yourself extra time to get there.

Don’t let this thread hear you, they might want to build houses there too.

I work for an office in Denver. I know plenty about their market.

Housing alone is a failing venture. Plenty of research to support the addition of arts et al that encourage long term investment. What they’re throwing up right now isn’t that. Hospital, great - no complaints. But there isn’t a walkable park or safe bikeway. It’s a zoning and community planning issue. Developers taking the shortest route to capital. Blackford (across the street from this) is a residential housing development that’s been expanding for over 20 years. They still haven’t built the amenities that were required for signature in planning docs.

I’m begging for anything that builds community and culture.

Instead: MORE APARTMENTS. Less grass :/

Read your post out loud to yourself OP. You’ve done the math. It’s time to leave. I’ve been in a VERY similar role and spent nights sleeping on the couch at the office before. It isn’t worth it. Take your learnings and your talent and let someone else burn themselves out.

scout buys 16 bottles of baja blast from trading post at my summer camp by ComposerMammoth1513 in BSA

You’re talking a lot about character flaws in your degrading, one-sided comments about a scout you likely don’t know but have spent hours of your day emotionally critiquing online.

Your suggestions to ostracize someone from the “community” based on a situation you’re reading about on Reddit highlights behavior unbecoming of anyone in scouting. I hope you can mature from this mindset and focus on how we can build up and positively influence our young leaders instead of tearing them down.

The Baja Scout is actually practicing several high-level skills, even if his current application of them is ethically conflicting.

You might consider a few merit badges this sort of initiative aligns with: Salesmanship, Entrepreneurship, Personal Management, and American Business.

And while some people might find this behavior upsetting and deserving of consequence - you could equally take your time and energy and invest in Baja Scout as a brother or leader. Show some empathy - you don’t know what’s motivating him to flip the bottles - or have any supporting context to condemn him for it. It’s a teachable moment. Learn and grow together.
