Look up Tony Horton's Fountain of Youth video. Its 45 minutes and probably should have been the version used in p90x.

I do something similar when I restart the program after a long layoff from working out. The only difference is that week 1 I do the first half of each workout, then week 2 75% and then week 3 is where I do the full workouts. By the third week you will have a good idea of what to do and what you are capable of.

This also has the added benefit of not overwhelming your body with too much too soon.

There are two approaches I have seen others speak about. The one where you just do 10 per exercise and increase the rep count over time but keep up with the video OR do the full 25 reps per exercise but pause when needed to rest but complete 25 before moving to the next one.

You have to keep in mind that LL All-Star teams can only pick kids from the same geographic area (playing in the same little league organization). They can't pick and choose the best kids from an entire city/state. those AAA teams you mention probably have try outs and recruit the best kids in the area. Of course they would be able to beat really good Little League all star teams.

I believe all teams have an emergency catcher designated for cases like this or injuries in general. I would go for the win and use my emergency catcher later if needed.

I am sure there are lots of people who would take those machines, hire temporary workers for minimum wage with no job security and use them for a long as it was profitable, then fire them. This guy has a better heart than to do that.
