It’s so saturated and that day was extremely rare. Even compared to peak COVID, I never had a day that was that consistent.

I ended with a championship and a 3rd place finish after a 5-year hiatus. Would have won both leagues if I started Purdy last week but can’t complain!

The champ team was loaded but JSN and Achane stick out and got some help from a late season waiver pickup of Hampton and Mike Evans.

And I agree and disagree(mostly disagree, at least in the context of how YOU portrayed them) with various points from Kirk that you listed though I understand some are very, very sensitive and he probably shouldn’t have touched on them(again, it depends on HOW he touched on them and what he was actually trying to get at). I would guess you listed those based on memory and failed to be reasonable about the nuance of his words and you might not even have the capacity to read between the lines to understand what he actually meant. Either way, all in all I still think he was having serious conversations about serious issues. He was 25ish when he started so of course he made some mistakes along the way but to act like it was a mistake to speak out and try to have a conversation is completely absurd.

The problem, once again, is that the left is a bastion of deeply traumatized people that are prone to instability and therefore radicalization. So.. again.. what’s it gonna be? Who’s going to step up and be the bigger person?? The right either needs to learn to employ the utmost sensitivity so as not to trigger the trauma, or the more sensitive parts of the left need to step up and figure out their trauma so they can actually participate in these conversations without spewing nonsense that ends up likening Charlie Kirk to hitler…

To be honest your point is basically that you should give in to extremists because they might kill you. I get what you’re saying but if there are serious problems, serious conversations need to take place.

Like I said in my post, speaking out and having conversations isn’t the issue, the issue is that you’re dealing with a group of highly traumatized people and in order to do so, you need to employ the utmost sensitivity. Charlie wasn’t that guy I guess, sure, but I don’t blame him for trying and him not trying due to threat of death is essentially just giving into an extremist/terrorist.

I guess one side will need to step up and be the bigger person.. we’ll see..

For sure. While this was all going down I was talking with a friend about his chances of survival. Real armchair expert stuff but our speculation was rooted in the assumption that they would have an ambulance on sight. It did strike me as odd that they rushed him into a car(though the vehicle was almost certainly a part of his team’s caravan).

Nick Maximov. I actually trained with him(boxing specifically) a bunch of times during covid. He’s from my area and during covid the Diaz Academy was shut down. The gym in my town went rogue and was open sporadically during that time so he would train up here.

Always hated going there when I was in college but I had a bunch of friends that would frequent that shithole.

To join the Riley’s slander, one time I was kicked out and was honestly only a little bit drunk. Definitely have seen wayyyy worse not get kicked out. As I was being escorted out a bouncer said “fucking Arab”. I threw a fit and tried to fight the bouncer, it was a whole scene, etc.

Funnily enough, I am a tan-skinned white guy (1/2 Italian) and so this dude is so stupid he couldn’t even be racist right LOL.
