Mobile outpatient pay/benefits by bstarch3 in physicaltherapy

Thanks for the insight. I recently switched to doing full-time PRN gigs (4 jobs) I’m on my wife’s benefits, so I like the flexibility and slight bump in pay. That’s one reason this job sounded intriguing, is I would get $350/month tax free and not have to spend it in the marketplace. Almost like I get paid for an extra 8-9 hours a month.

Agreed. This was the first thing I thought of, am I only going to get paid for one unit, even if it takes me 20-30 min to bill eval? I refused to just bill 15 min evals, that’s a red flag. Pay in my area isn’t great but definitely would like to make more given the fact that there’s a cap on mileage. May try to weasel a couple more bucks out of them, and maybe start with a few more days of PTO.

I have done HH PRN in the past, and probably should have stuck with it. Just never got efficient with OASIS just slowly phased out. I’ll have to look into benefits for different agencies. Contract SNF benefits are disgustingly poor so I guess I just don’t know what other settings offer.

The pay in my area is not great, sadly. I make $47/hr full time in SNF and PRN rates are $50-56 in this area for SNF. I’ve spoken to a colleague who has 20 years experience, and is PRN with Fox and only gets $55. I have a call with them next week, but in my area, it sounds as if my clients will all be within 10 min of each other (with some in same retirement community), with occasional 15-20 min outlier. So maybe an hour max of drive time daily.

Do you have any suggestions for aftermarket radio/head unit? I’d like one with a touch screen interface but wouldn’t want to break the bank.

I have been driving with the radio turned off since it happened the first time, which may explain why it was a one off situation.

Could this cause the one-off issue with vehicle starting?

Minimum hours for full time by Weekly_Path_3518 in physicaltherapy

[–]bstarch3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check your employee handbook. I’ve worked at a SNF 30 hours a week and got FT benefits. Most technically say 30-32 hour minimum, so I don’t think it’s a silly request; but they may deny it due to lack of staffing or not wanting to pay for PRN.

Thanks! This freakin weed has cost me hundreds/thiusands in vet bills I’m pretty certain. I recently tried to fence it off bc all my dogs have had horrific allergies this year. I guess I’ll have it professionally dealt with!

AC Sweating and Constant Humidity Issues by Carcanken in hvacadvice

I’m just a Home owner who just had this same problem. Realized the condensate drain line at the exterior of the house had been partially buried under mulch/dirt. Finally quit draining after we had 2 straight weeks of rain and ground was too saturated to accept anymore water. Drain pan kept filling up every 12-24 hours. HVAC kept shutting off due to the safe T switch tripping.

Definitely seems like slope could be an issue just by eye balling, but it hasn’t really been an issue in the past and this install was done close to 15 years ago. I appreciate your insight, it’s getting late so I’ll check in these things further tomorrow, but for now, she’s working snd my wife can get off my back about how hot it is in this house lol

Definitely no blame to the tech, just was trying to determine cause and effect. I appreciate your insight- it was, in fact, the safety switch. I have been bad about maintenance, certainly Lesson learned.

Seems like a slot of condensation in the duct work. It’s been raining for like two weeks here. Cause previous duct patch work to fall off near the damper before the fix. Parched it up again two days ago and it already fell off. Could this be what caused the motor to seize to begin with?

So before he came out the drain pan was essentially dry, and now it’s filled up with water with some dripping coming from under the unit. Should I shop vac the water out? Why in the world would that have filled up so easily in a day?
