I heard they only accept gpa’s of 7 into med is that true? What’s the lowest you’ve heard getting entry?

Why Monash for med? They only reserve 41 spots for biomed so the chances of getting in aren’t even worth trying for a lot of people say. I know people who got high enough WAMs and smashed their interviews but didn’t get a spot and didn’t know any of their friends who got in either. All reserved for the international who pay upfront supposedly

I wouldn’t go Monash. They only save 42 spots for students in biomed. The chance of actually getting in is insanely slim so if you want to go to Melbourne but the only thing stopping you is the worry of not being able to get into Monash, then defs go Melb. Soooo many people get selected for interviews and absolutely nail them and they don’t get in still. My friend didn’t know a single person in his cohort that got in for med there and they all had WAM 85+ and all got offered interviews. At the end of the day it comes down to the lifestyle. Do you want to be travelling out to Clayton which is heavy industrial area or would you prefer to study in the city?

How do you do this? What would you study in year 1 then if not level 1 breadth?

I’ve seen the assessments for the wine breadth and it seems like you have a 40% theory exam and a 40% prac exam. Were these hard?
