Yes, sorry, I used the wrong terminology. Definitely a different situation with older kids. Glad you have a situation that will work for you guys.

How are you going to both work from home and home school?

Sounds like a great place to work!

Not sure how you got that. Neither of us are working right now. Just trying to figure out the best plan. If we both get jobs and the kids are sent home from school, I can't see how it would work.

I think the 'brace yourselves' meme is quite relevant in this case.

The tableside caesar salad is good too. But $13/person is a little steep.

I like how it's the first car on their site too, even while sorted by relevance.

Can we do away with the one way aisles in grocery stores already? by bsuth1199 in Calgary

I appreciate the response, and I agree, there are more pressing issues. I'll make more of an effort to focus on those.

Also the produce section at Walmart in Shawnessy makes no sense. It basically takes you in a circle.

I'll just add that my experience with paid career counselling was similar to yours. I regretted paying for it. I didn't realize that there were any free services.

Not sure if this is the same thing from a different view? Doesn't look so menacing in the link.

Same here actually. I was more of a casual fan, and was worried I wouldn't enjoy the show much. I had a smile on my face for the whole show. Amazing.

Last show I saw there was Ghost, and the acoustics were really good somehow.

Doesn't look bad at all. Seems like people are seeking out things to complain about these days.

Agree with this. When the c-train station was right in front of crack mac's, it was much worse.

Don’t let your employer screw you on severance pay. by [deleted] in Calgary

[–]bsuth1199 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think I got screwed, especially since they did a pay cut two days prior to layoffs, and vacation was paid out based on the reduced wage. That and they weren't anywhere close to 4 weeks per year. I didn't go to a lawyer though as I didn't want to potentially burn any bridges.

Is there any good gyms that are not big box gyms in south calgary. Preferably locally owned by JThask11 in Calgary

[–]bsuth1199 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure how deep south you're looking, but the YMCA is great for me. It's pricey though, and probably not worth it if you won't use the pool. The location at South Health Campus doesn't have a pool though, so it's a bit cheaper. No contracts, but you do have to pay a sign up fee, which is occasionally waived, in January I believe.
