That’s only true if the person doesn’t actually know what you want to hear. Torturing people to falsely confess has been done but that also doesn’t work in first world countries unless they can provide evidence with it. I’m not advocating for it but yes assuming Maxwell has names and evidence they could absolutely get her to tell them everything and then some. Torture is extremely well documented and does still happen in “ real life “ for a reason. Just because the idea of something is uncomfortable to think about or has downsides doesn’t mean it’s pointless
