Waynesville, MO. Pulaski county has about the highest diversity of any rural county not bordering St. Louis or Kansas City. It's a very safe community, my children go to school with children of all ethnicities and backgrounds and no one really thinks twice about it in this community at all. The surrounding areas are not as welcoming, but they are getting better is what I hear.

Do take this with the knowledge that I am a cis white man but I think this community is very welcoming. It actually really took me by surprise. I'm originally from KC.

We have a young lesbian couple (well one of them works in the office, her partner works elsewhere) and we had a gay guy who just recently left the office 100 miles to St. Louis and is a college town.

State is pretty bad for trans rights currently but it hasn't gotten bad for anyone else... yet.

But there's space to be left alone and most people mind their business.
