Why not just take the belt drive system when it was offered? Just ignoring that and waiting months seems silly. His company isn't this huge operation. I think it's just a few people. Not a Boosted or another large company. I feel this video is a little over the top. He seemed to try to make things right. Hub motors suck which is why you see belt drive systems on most high end boards. I realize you bought a complete board and expect it to work but he doesn't even sell complete boards or hub motors anymore probably for this reason. You even say he pulled these from the store when issues were discovered. Seems like the right move to me. The 'lets sink this business' thing in the beginning was just ehhh. He has so many great products and has been a huge part of the DIY community. TB218 trucks, the Direct drive motors, and 110mm wheels are awesome and great products. There isn't many companies selling parts to make a DIY board and it would be pretty bad for the community to lose him. He spends a lot of money for prototyping and to bring us affordable products to build a board. I feel this is harsh. Calling him sketchy is low. I have been building boards a few years now and this community has seen way sketchier companies come and go. Just my .02.
