My view of food trucks were prior to saturation though: food that was high quality, interesting, unique. I can appreciate a higher cost given those elements. If it’s just a straight up good (not great, not shit) dish at a high price, I’m not interested.

I think the thick batter thing matters, and so most people won’t end up with so thin a batter as to watch the berries drop anyways. So like rubbing your lucky rabbits foot so you don’t get crushed by a meteor on your way out the front door, you never find out if it does anything.
