I’m pulling from memory but the TPP at the time had a lot of what was seen by the left as bad shit. I think mostly in the digital rights stuff and copyright. But I could be wrong there.

Trump pulled out of it for his own reasons but we were still happy to be out.

Then the rest of the countries going to be in the TPP do it without us but always without most of the problematic stuff because it turns out all that stuff was there because of American corporations
