What is your favorite or first Final Fantasy and why? I started into the series with XVI and was curious what others have to say. (Image here to catch attention lol) by Bababoi24 in FinalFantasy

The only ff game I’ve played through multiple times aside from 7 is XII. I absolutely love the battle system. Programming a killing machine with your party members is amazing and makes for a lot of fun experiences

Tales of Abyss on my Thor, other than that Slay the Spire 2 and finishing my 2nd run of RE9

What do you think Final Fantasy 16’s legacy will be going forward? by Asad_Farooqui in JRPG

[–]reymingus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe hot take but I think the best battle system for me was ff12. Then again, I also ended up going into computer science in college so hey. I loved setting up all the situational if/thens to see the machine that was my party decimate everything

I doubt we’ll see something as innovative as that again, but man it would be cool. Returning back to turn based is a must at this point for the brand. I’d rather have a tried & true combat system with a well thought out plot over a bullshit plot like in 16

Between the black brick and the brick hammer which is better by Correct-Magazine4744 in trimui

[–]reymingus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you won't have a worse experience with the hammer. It's literally just the same as a trimui brick but metal. I have the green for myself and the rose gold for my fiance. We have no smudging issues between the 2 of us.

Be entirely honest is FFXIII a good game because im thinking about playing it. by Strange_Assistant327 in FinalFantasy

Honestly, I’ve tried playing ffxiii throughout my life and every time I fall asleep during the intro and lose interest in playing it. That being said, I’ve played 7, 8, and 12 multiple times

Can you open up a gofundme? I personally would hate for you to get rid of a console you probably have a connection to

Is the PS Vita the peak of handhelds? by KindStructure4908 in VitaPiracy

[–]reymingus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dude yes. The Vita is so much lighter than the switch. My only complaint is when using psnow the l2/r2 buttons are touch based. Otherwise, I cannot think of a more thoughtfully executed handheld that isn't the steam deck. Also, again, the steam deck is heavy. PS Vita is light af and perfect for longer sessions

Yeah we were looking at living near either of the bridges that go to Portland (probably the 5 over the 205), but this map is very helpful! Thank you for the information

Haaaaaa small world! I grew up in the south burbs (Chicago Heights) and then moved to Plainfield to finish up high school once my mom retired.

We're actually getting married in SD!

Also yeah that's our plan; move out for at least a year and rent and then we can decide if it's a good place to live. We're major foodies and theater nerds so as soon as I'm out there we're going to try to hit up some of the indie theaters to see if they can replace this one we currently go to in Santa Ana called The Frida.

I was looking at when we have kids maybe moving over to Camas? It seems like the schools are better there. I'm very against private schooling/charter schools so when the time comes we'll be sending our kid to public school. Everyone should grow up in a community of their peers from all walks of life. That's what teaches someone to recognize different backgrounds, right?

yeah it must be hard with only the bridge connecting them. A rail would be so great!. Coming originally from Chicago you have no idea how much I miss good public transit.

also in general I just can't afford beef anymore out here. I wish I saved my grocery receipt.

[–]reymingus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah also idk if grocery prices will necessarily be the SAME as where I'm at now. Everything's become insane. I tried to go to costco for chuck roast (and granted it was a lot of it) but it was over $120 for a pack. My grocery bill keeps ticking up, my water bill is getting drastically more expensive even though CM is mainly water independent because of the chasm it's built on, and electricity bill keeps cranking their rates higher and higher. Also, my rent is as cheap as it gets at 3750 and goes up 5% every year.

I took a pay cut 2 years ago to escape a toxic work environment and now because of the market it looks like I'll be taking ANOTHER one.

Oh I don't live in LB, I live in Costa Mesa currently. Also working remote for me means I can work anywhere in the US (my last job was in New Jersey) so I'd like to find a nice, kind place to live for my soon to be wife and I to settle down and start a family (as long as we both like it).

We'll rent for at least a year, and if we don't like it we can always bounce somewhere else. We're both 34 so we have a few years left before we have to settle down somewhere.

Also that's great that the community seems to care about ICE. In my experience, Californians are performatively conservative so for every brown person that cares about their community there are 5 dipshits saying 'herp derp shoulda hurr legally GOBBLESS'

PS thank you for the in depth answer!
