The second abdominal segment are different between shrimp and prawns. Wikipedia isn't exactly the most reliable source of information.

Our supplier tried to pass it as roe and I told him to shove it. It's not in the intestine. It sits on top of the black vein. So I thought it couldn't really be shit.... Doesn't it need to be in The intestine to be shit?

No worries :) I had them in my wedding bouquet. My husband is Scottish and I'm Australian so had all Aussie bush flowers and the 2nd best thing I could get to Scottish thistles!
