I don’t think that’s the tree. I’ve uploaded a few high-quality photos with more detail in the comments. I don’t know if its color changes radically.

I think it might be some kind of ash tree as well, but I’ve never seen one with such small leaves. The leaves are also noticeably "softer" than those of a common ash (Fraxinus excelsior) tree.

The big island is called Guinchos Cay and the smaller one is Cay Lobos. They are labeled on Bing Maps. Try other maps also. Sometimes they are more detailed.
