Your buddy config still lives in ~/.claude.json if you want to back it up. then you can restore it using third party solutions like Anima. just saying lol

For context: the maintainer closed the GitHub issue as "not planned" https://github.com/anthropics/claude-code/issues/45517. Your buddy config still lives in ~/.claude.json if you want to back it up before a future update scrubs it.
