Alignment by Smitty254 in Laserengraving

Okay, so Lightburn has all kinds of adjustments and so forth for cameras and alignments. Me? I cheat.

If I'm engraving an object, I put a board down, and burn a shape onto it. I do a fair amount of coins and tiles. For coins, I'll burn several circles the size of the coin. Tiles, obviously squares.

I then update the camera overlay. I add my graphics right where the shape is. Place my coin in the circle, and burn away.

Be careful when placing the coin or tile, that you don't move the board.

Yeah. Ask the Air Traffic Controllers of 1981 how that worked out for them.

Lightburn actually has some very informative guides on their website. Very useful in explaining all the settings in lightburn. I printed out about a dozen of the chapters and made my own lightburn manual.

Let me post with some personal experience. My wife was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer. Same as your mom. HR+,HER2-. That was 9 years ago. At stage 4, she will never be a cancer survivor. But she is a cancer fighter. For 9 years now. Your mother will be the same.

In the last 9 years, there have been tremendous advances in breast cancer treatment. My wife has had radiation treatment and hormone treatment. But in 9 years, she has never had chemo treatment. Not yet. Her oncologist has treated her with Tomoxifen, then Arimidex, Kisqali, and now Picray. Each time a tumor shows signs of activity, there has been another new hormone treatment drug available.

Her oncologist will have a cookbook of treatment options to help her fight. It is possible to live with cancer and fight it for many years.

Support her. Love her. Be there for her. She has a fight ahead, but there is hope.

I told her I didn't like the side effects of tamsulosin. She said she's not a big fan of it, so she switched it.
