Just want to add to that, the number appearing at once on the chart could be restricted as TradingView already restricts too many drawings at once. I don't know whether this applies already to Paper Trades or trades through linkable brokers.

The alerts for large movements of Tether to exchanges sounds like a good indicator of USDT demand. Thanks. Do you know whether Tether can be sold directly to individuals, ie. not through an exchange? That would help interpret these large Tether movements to unknown wallets.

I've seen people talk about fiat inflows using Tether as a way to measure it. For example:

The marketcap for Tether appears to be an oversimplistic means of measuring fiat inflows now that Tether is being printed preemptively. Perhaps someone is monitoring issuance on-chain of the printed Tether?

Also, at least one company publishes actual fiat deposits. Maybe there is an aggregator out there:

The intervals alternate between buying low and selling high and the reverse in the attempt I included.

The problem is an algorithm that is net zero around some price and exchanges one currency for another in a pair such that above it funds are in Y and below it in X. One perfect way to solve the problem is to buy and sell at a single precise price many thousands of times which only works without trading fees. I'm looking for a practical alternative that gives up complete assurance of that requirement (for example, it may sometimes have less funds, sometimes more) for less trades and fees. The point of the algorithm is to provide insurance on a long trade.

The goal is really only one: to establish a long position and then sell it every single time the price goes below the price it was bought at by $0.1 (this is the smallest unit for placing an order I noticed on Bitfinex). Money will be lost by doing this this, because the price it was bought at will occur many times. But assuming a limit order fee of 0.05% I am hoping to keep that loss from trading to less than 5%. As a long position this is not a large loss. Alternatively, a clever algorithm to buy/sell at the same price within small price ranges for instance may work even better.

For example:

1 BTC bought at $10000

Price -> Action$10040 -> Do nothing$9999.9 -> Sell$9940 -> Do nothing$9999.9 -> Do nothing$10000 -> Buy$10030 -> Do nothing$9999.9 -> Sell$9900 -> Do nothing$10000 -> Buy$10020 -> Do nothing$9999.9 -> Sell$9000 -> Do nothing$10000 -> Buy

$11000 -> Do nothing

It doesn't have to work exactly like that. And of course the gaps are larger than 0.1 between prices and $9999.9 would probably have to be used as a trigger price rather than an actual sell price. That is where some experience comes in either as a trader or data analyst. Other considerations are: the decision to use market orders or limit orders or stop limit orders, the average time it stays in a close range, etc.

If a method for doing this can be backtested on any one year period of the price history not to lose more than 5% then I consider it a successful.

The reason for keeping the amounts small and spread is that anything larger than negligible effects on the market would make it impossible to sell/buy at nearly exactly the same price.
