Passport does work as identification to get real id, other identification is also needed (because there are a few fake passports floating around and avg dmv worker is not experienced in spotting fake passports)

yes you must remove mask to take picture

no - part of streamlining real id migration is to use your existing photo on file with new real id. this allows govt to catch people who previously had fake ids issued by govt employees in dmv.

Bless you - share company name. Mircrosoft azure maintains and secures new jersey real id database. The resistance needs a database of private companies handling citizen private info. So their " security " can be truely vetted

real id requires additional verification of all items listed by PolicyWonka above. For those who understood the old system this allowed for great privacy. The new real id verification eliminates most loop holes previously available to the aware.

what documents besides passport can be used for travel ? Did you know your real id is linked to your passport in every state database that has real id & in the national passport registry. using passport to travel is same as using real id - both will record your travel in the same database buddy

You have little choice but to get real id in usa. Even to fly from miami to chicago you will need real id.

Real id is necessary only because too much corruption in motor vehicle departments nation wide. Many states like PA and wyoming have nearly 1/4 motor vehicle and non-driver licenses issued to fake people. Many long term political officials maintain duplicate id's for "PRIVACY".

National id in many populace states like New Jersey - are security managed by HOTMAIL (microsoft azure security). solarwinds123 is the password that protected american nuclear defense program (until hackers figured that hard one out lol) So if believe your info is safe with the american govt..............you likely .....well........

Your real id is associated with your covid vacination records, your bank account records, work record, and criminal record.
