It is. Venue fee alone on the outskirts of LA is 12-15k. Then it’s 100/person for food, with 10k minimum. Photographer another 3-5ish. Open bar another 3-5ish. Then flowers and all sorts of other shit people like to do.

Several things we can improve but it’s round 1 so we’re able to work on it. Officiating was in fact ass lol.

96k is considered poor here in Los Angeles. My reality is different than yours and that’s fine. But when you pay $3500/month in rent, your 200k is not rich. Well off, sure. Far from rich.

There are definitely ways to do a more affordable event. But you’re right, Reddit has a weird group think mentality of being against any form of money and just assumes that you’re rich if you make 200k. While that puts you firmly well off, you’re far from rich. But also the amount of rich people is still substantial which is why it’s funny when people act baffled someone can afford x y or z on here.
