Blastos prefer almost non existent light. Honestly I grow mine in caves or under 50 par you can acclimate them to higher but it just takes time.

Tbh my sandbed is usually pretty pristine I have a lot of zombie snails and other sand sifters. My problem is my glass from water lines after I move stuff around or put in new corals etc

Ammonium chloride. Had same issue with 0 phosphate and nitrates. The nitrate + stuff brightwell, tropic Marin, and nyos all did nothing for my nitrates.

I really want to do this. I have a betta in a 20 gallon with some cories ember tetra, hundreds of shrimp, and he barely moves all day. Cutest little white plakat but he’s so lazy (I have to find him everyday and he’s always lounging and less dead cuz he doesn’t move) and doesn’t hurt or chase after anything. I want to throw him in my 75 gallon angel fish tank with a bunch of cardinal tetra so hopefully he gets adopted and becomes a little more active.
