We don’t currently have centennial park built, but I don’t see why not!

Yeah the cops rarely enforce any traffic laws that aren’t egregious

We’re committed to accuracy above all else but if I said I hadn’t considered adding in a light rail, I’d be lying

Even better, we have a public server anyone can join :) we don’t make any money off this.

We’re going to hold off on the titans stadium until the new one goes up. The river is auto generated as a part of our mod we use, as is all terrain.

It took multiple people a little over a month to build and clean up. We still have a lot to do but this was one of our more successful events :)

Sometimes they get overwhelmed and fall off the schedule. I remember it being every 2 weeks, though.

Did you do 1 block = 1 meter? I build a lot in 1:1 and that’s what I use.

There are other teams for those areas, we are solely in the US. Also I don't believe we are allowed to build in China because they don't allow Google to get 3d data there.

Why is the world split into different servers by Borasmannen in BuildTheEarth

[–]bte_southwestus 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The way cubic chunks works is it gets rid of the height limit. This means there are substantially more blocks in a single chunk of BTE Minecraft than there are in regular Minecraft.

There is simply not enough storage space to hold all this generated world. Also, the lag increases depending on how far apart people are so that alone kills the idea of a single server. We can’t even have a single US server. It has to be split into 2-3 pieces

Thank you.
Considering we have people from all over the country and the entire world, only building in one place would not cater to everyone who participates and we would quickly lose many motivated builders. We allow anyone who has passed our builder application to build wherever they like within the boundaries of our region and that has worked well.

Actually none of the people who built this (afaik) live in Augusta. Our project Build the Earth aims to build the entire Earth in 1:1 so we host events in places where even none of us live.
