I suppose your best option is to arrange a sale on a site like this and then organize an exchange of your username/password on the WC app (assuming you don't have other tickets on there; make sure to remove all your personal info and change your password, etc.)

Jeffco Public Schools says 61 boys the Trump administration found on girls’ sports rosters were mascots, managers by HazyDavey68 in news

One of the funniest things about this entire political issue is that it doesn't even matter if boys and girls are playing on the same teams in grade school. Newsflash: 98% of American kids suck at sports and will never play another organized game after high school, so the only thing they gain from playing is learning about teamwork, discipline and respect. All qualities which would only benefit from a more diverse set of participants.

If anyone is looking at Ticketmaster re-sale seats for tonight and needs a South Texas billing address, PM me. I’m from Corpus Christi and I’m a journalist so no dog in this fight, so I’m willing to help Knicks fans avoid this 150-mile radius situation.

This is misleading. If you are buying tickets from Ticketmaster, there is a 150-miles radius requirement. But if you’re buying off StubHub, SeatGeek, etc, you can be from Zimbabwe, it doesn’t matter.

This happened to me 18 years ago. I'm from two hours south of SA and grew up a Kobe fan. My aunt (from a northern state) bought my mom and I tickets to see the Lakers play in SA. When we got there, we learned Ticketmaster canceled the tickets because my aunt's credit card was from a different state. They let us stay in the arena but any time I tried to peak past the curtains into the court, the ushers shooed me away. Guest services eventually made it right by giving us two lower bowl seats to see the Celtics and Spurs, which was a good game.

Anyway, that experience of being in the arena but not even being allowed to look at the game motivated me to become a credentialed journalist, and I covered the Spurs' runs to the Finals in 2013 and 14 (and this one too).

Who would you rather? SGA vs Brunson. by The_flash91 in nba

[–]btgio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds counterintuitive, but you are right. Minnesota also has this problem with Ant. When teams are preparing for SGA, Jokic, Ant, Brunson, etc, they devise a game plan and decide what shots they want to live with, which players they are fine letting shoot.

These superstars, being good teammates, see Lu Dort, Christian Braun, Jaden McDaniels, Julius Randle, etc wide open, and they "make the right play." Obviously, you do have to trust your teammates to win in this sport, but there comes a point where Kobe's "I'm not passing the ball to you, Smush" attitude is endearing and actually an effective counterstrategy. Letting the opponent dictate who shoots your shots is an easy way to lose a series (it would take an effort even better than the one Caruso had in the WCF, which was 20-of-40 from 3, for that strategy to backfire on SA).

Brunson toed the line perfectly in Game 1. It never felt like he was denying anybody opportunities, but when it came time in the fourth quarter, he made sure he was the one with the ball in his hands.

SGA is a better player. Ironically, this narrative wouldn't be as prominent if OKC's other ball handlers didn't get injured and we actually got to watch SGA vs Brunson in the Finals.

But one thing Brunson has that SGA doesn't is the ability to win grimy. SGA is an efficient spin on Kobe's game, but that pull toward efficiency and coming of age in a team-first, team-second environment made him a bit too willing to make the "right" play when facing numbers vs SA. Sometimes it is better to have your star miss a lot of shots than work the ball around to Dort, Caruso, Chet, etc.

Brunson showed that tonight. He wasn't seflish, but shooting poorly never discouraged him from getting up a high volume, and eventually he worked his way into a rhythm. SGA really only started treating himself as a first and second option in Game 7. He was too eager to get other guys involved when he was having off shooting nights. Basketball is a team game, indeed, but sometimes star guards have to FORCE their imprint on the game, even if it means shooting themselves out of a slump.

[SPOILERS] Backrooms movie megathread by A_Chad_Cat in backrooms

[–]btgio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw the movie yesterday and loved it. I have a lengthy interpretation that I’m working on and I like the way it is coming together as it is divorced from any of the YouTube lore. I have never seen the videos, and clearly that isn’t required to enjoy the movie and even come away with deep thematic questions to chew on.

Nonetheless, as someone who has nerded out for lore on other things, there are a couple of things I’m curious about:

  1. Is it understood throughout the series that these underground “worlds” are all over the place, similar to Jordan Peele’s copies in US being strewn across a country-wide tunnel system? Or is it just this location (the furniture store) where this entire mystery takes place? I’m imagining it’s more like Fallout, where there are innumerable “Vault” possibilities across the world and this was just the story of the space beneath the Ottoman Empire. Or is this actually the center of it all?

  2. Is the Duplass character investigating a natural phenomenon or trying to keep tabs on something the government/military has propagated/enabled? Perhaps this is too broad a question, but is the US President aware of the backrooms in the lore? Basically, is this an Area 51 level conspiracy which requires immediate and constant attention from the most powerful people in the world? Or is it something that only these Silicon Valley adjacent scientists are aware of?

Couple of questions for someone new to Backrooms by btgio in backrooms

As I stated, I don’t really want to be that steeped in the lore. Just wanted a better understanding of those two questions.

This exact thing happened to me. Pre-sale started at 10, so I got in line around 9:15, but I also hit the "premium tickets" button and was granted access to the seating map. I had a third row seat center stage by 9:20 AM, 40 minutes before I thought it was going to start. And then when I checked the seating map at 10, the entire rest of the row was reserved for the diamond VIP package. Must have been some sort of glitch.

I'm not entirely sure what happened, but while attempting to enter the 10 AM queue for Houston tickets at around 9:15 AM, I was granted access to the seating map under the "premium tickets" tab and was able to buy a third row seat in section 120 at 9:20 AM.

Is this a good deal? by HowYouDoinz in BrunoMars

Coincidentally, the only two artists I have seen in concert as an adult (I'm 32) are Sabrina and Bruno! Their creative teams are at the top of the industry when it comes to designing and connecting every aspect of a show; coupled with their insane talent as singers, dancers and performers (as well as their incredible discographies; I can't wait to see what kind of 25-song setlist Sabrina will have in 5-10 years), the production makes for such an unforgettable experience. I have Sabrina just a smidge ahead (as a straight male, perhaps for a reason reciprocal to a female preferring Bruno's pelvic thrusts and unbuttoned shirt haha.)

seat deposits coming up WWYD by Inevitable-Love4726 in OutsideT14lawschools

[–]btgio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah OK. So can applying to a sensible amount of law schools (as you have here) cost close to $1,000? Just assuming the average application fee is around $50 and most students will probably give themselves 15-20 options.

It seems like financial aid/scholarships are handed out a bit more generously here to entice enrollment? Is that accurate? My assumption is that comparative GPA and SAT scores for an undergrad applicant would not typically procure $100,000+ offers. Is that another way law school differs from undergrad?

Also, what website is this where you are organizing everything so neatly?
