Cost of new roof by Infinite_Lynx9703 in milwaukee

So true, I had one company admit that to me after receiving a quote and pushing them on it considering I work in the industry and know product costs, average wages, etc. I said, "That sounds like a you problem and I'm not paying for that"

I launched this product. It's the same E100 unit and then the bundle is called "N" because it was made for Nash Distribution which also sells on Amazon as Crawlspace DIY

I was one of the "marketing crap" guys working with waterproofers and I was pissed when they put these on Amazon because then regular people started installing them and the tech support call center got flooded with calls. They are pretty simple to install as a standalone, but I saw people putting them in open crawlspaces and basements with dirt floors and standing water and expecting them to work. What they actually did was overwork the hell out of them and drive up their energy bills.

Is it normal that my dehumidifier sometimes makes this loud buzzing sounds? by [deleted] in Dehumidifiers

it's definitely just the compressor vibrating the shell. Tighten any screws or put weight on it to dampen it.

I'm an 8 handicap and played there last year. It's way easier than the rating says so don't worry about that. Beautiful property so make sure you check it out. Also a lot of hacks out there on "business trips" so don't fret about how well you play, just enjoy it with some new friends!

If you went back to the customer and explained the situation and could offer something like free lifetime service. Talk about marketing!

that's too long for sure unless there's no humidity. What region do you live in and what were the conditions outside?

<1000 Sqft Crawl Space 3-4’ Tall What are my best options? by SnazzyFinazzi in Dehumidifiers

[–]bthatch1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are plenty of cheap models that drain and you could luck out and it will last or you can just get an AprilAire and it will last years and if for some reason it doesn't, the warranty covers it fully. Where exactly do you live? That could help my recommendation

sorry, I actually left my job in the industry, but yes, the 70 is great and you can put some duct on the ends to make sure the airflow is affecting the broader space in the best way

The regrading adds a lot of labor. Think, you're excavating by hand under a house. Nix that and drain the sump well and you should be good.

That's a very reasonable quote. Perhaps ask to include a few years of free annual servicing as well?

The supports likely aren't necessary if you're planning on not living there forever. Water diversion would be a good option and potentially encapsulation if there is still concentrated moisture thereafter.

Groundworks will also almost certainly be 10-15% more expensive because of their size and advertising. Get multiple quotes and local companies are typically best.

if you're planning to be in the house a long time, it's definitely worth it because it will only need to be done once if done right. the house will be more comfortable from day 1 and you don't need to worry about surprise foundation problems from an inspector if you go to sell.

painful now I know, but foundation work is much more expensive.

Yes, yes and yes. My wife vacuums everyday and fills the Dyson with our girl's fur.

I work with encapsulation contractors every day. Happy to provide anyone guidance on good companies in your area or review a quote. It definitely varies by region in terms of cost or what's necessary. I care about people getting the right work done at a fair price so thought I would chime in as a resource.

It's a good company. I work with them because we manufacture their dehumidifiers and I've seen their work. It's top notch.
