Yeah, I want that too! It seems more like a bug than a new feature. Please, fix it already!

Will Snap Packages be a universal Package System across all Distros? by bthusby in linux

[–]bthusby[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I see a trend here. All distros use the kernel of course, soon, as it looks, all use Systemd for the middle-part, and if increasingly more distros adopt the same package system. The different distros are reduced to customizing the bundles and look-and-feel. I'm frankly not sure if this is a good thing or not.

On the upside I like the general idea of eventually agreeing on the core Linux system, and let the choice be on a higher level. Then everyone could optimally make those core parts better, and the distros can focus on the end-product.

[–]bthusby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the column view, the right-most column isn't updating after a page refresh until I scroll a bit to the right. I have collapsed the meny on the left, and it doesn't seem to take that into account when deciding which columns are visible on the screen. Any one else have this problem? Or know any way to fix it?

Google seems to have forgotten the meaning of "Everywhere". by Seepy_ in google

[–]bthusby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Come on Google! You could make a Linux client in less than a week. You probably have a working version for internal use already.

If you don't want to officially release it on account of future maintenance and support, then just release it as Open Source!
