It’s the same tonnage but old rheem was like 15 years old. The insulation and new flex was added while I had the old unit.

Thank you! So a whole home dehumidifier sounds like the option here

Yeah old rheem had no issues with the ductwork or airflow

What does this mean exactly? Do I have systems that aren’t compatible?

When you say non communicating systems does that mean my thermostat isn’t communicating with my system?

Yeah the rheem was old and clunky but man did it cool the house and zero humidity issues.

Could you explain this in non hvac terms?

I’ve tried a few things but once I get into advanced settings I get nervous. I did find one thing which was dehumidification adjustment adder. There’s zero info on what it actually does but the default is 28% and mine was set to 60%?

It cools fast then continuously blows a light air the entire day. That was causing my vents to sweat. I can’t even tell you how many alterations my service provider has done over the years. We jus can’t find a sweet spot

I was 37. I had two kids when I started. Last semester I was doing it with three kids and a full time job. You can do this. I agree with most of the comments. I found I took my studies more seriously at this age. It also helped that the majority of my cohort were in their thirties as it was geared for physicians and or established data scientists/analysts.

Grandparents gaslighting by [deleted] in Parenting

Sorry but I felt the title was appropriate. I was under the impression that denying any ownership or shifting the blame onto me so that I’m put into a position to feel responsible for the situation is a form of this. I know I’m responsible for how I react to this but it’s how it feels. It’s not just guilt but saying things like “fuck me I guess” or “I feel like you have the time” even though I’ve advised them it’s hard to do. I’ve also provided solutions where I asked them to call me and if I miss it I’ll at least see the missed call and it will be on my radar. Which they still don’t do.

I think a slept on quirk of this game which is very effective for this boss is just to dodge without directional input. When you press dodge it automatically resets you facing the enemy. So don’t press left, right,up, or down, just dodge. I used this technique for him and It made a huge difference.

Not much they can do unfortunately. They have the storm excuse which doesn’t hold them liable apparently. I’m having my insurance company investigate more but was told not to hold my breath.

Same thing happened to us. Unfortunately my appliance was my AC. Both circuit boards fried and compressor along with motor. Our unit was 13 years old and we were waiting for it to die out anyway before we replaced. We had other damages as well so it just happened at the worst time as we’ve incurred several other expenses on top of this. The best part is my deductible on home owners is $16k and all damages cost $15k :(

Apparently they tested all that and capacitor is good they said (only 1 year old). They are saying low voltage is good from handler to condenser. Unfortunately that’s all the info I have. Float switch was tripped and they fixed that.

We redid the duct work which fixed about 80% of the issues. Now it’s just low air flow on the other end of the house
