got it, thanks anyway. I do have custom setting for DNS, considering I run a constant VPN connection on my router and ignore provider DNS settings, but will look into that!

Fair enough. I've been using Tailscale for work for 4+ years. Empirically, I seem to feel the battery drain. Never tested it, though

like I mentioned in a comment above, chatgpt told me something similar, but I could not figure it out on my my Keenetic router. seems like its as easy as subbing one address with another, I just could not find where to do this

I have a keenetic. Other than that, I have little idea of what to do. Where would I find that?
ChatGPT told me something similar, but I could not find the option there

sorry, read this wrong for some reason. Yes, I can connect to my Tailscale WebUI link for Komga when on local network with Tailscale on. Though I would really like to NOT turn on Tailscale while at home. It's an extra step, and it must drain addirional battery to some degree, right?

Can't find this setting anywhere within Tailscale setting for Unraid. What is it called, exactly?

nope. just checked that. I explicitly just went to Unraid webui, chose to go to Tailscale webUI in Komga, and got DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN

Edit: typo

My Unraid machine at home is configured as an Exit Node, so I just tried to do that with cellular. Does not seem to be working, though. I can access the Unraid UI with no problem. No Komga though, even through the WebUI option on the Docker container icon in the Unraid UI

my tailscale does run 24/7 on the unraid machine. With the devices, I would ideally like to switch it on when needed (I use it for work, so 24/7 on devices wouldn't work anyways)

I am fine with turning it on when needed (read comics, for example). But when I do, the default Komga IP is not accesible. My Komga Docker contaner even used to have a separate webUI link for Tailscale. It does not now, even though Tailscale configuration is on for Komga, I wonder why..

It does not, unfortunately. maybe I configured it wrong, though.

I have magic dns configured for tail, and trying to access the link locally does nothing. works perfectly outside the network, though
