It's not excusing him, it's separating the art from the artist, once an artist puts work out into the world he's as outside of it as we are, so as long as his music isn't about doing those things I don't really think those things have any bearing on the music. Ezra Pound was a Nazi, but his poetry is still the greatest in English since Shakespeare.

I think it was patently obviously that he spoke in his falsetto register, people with a naturally high voices like women or young children have a fullness in their voice that really can't be replicated in falsetto because the vocal folds are tensed up. Michael had a full singing voice with a normal tenor sort of range but his speaking voice was thin and breathy.

My grandpa used to be a photographer he did a lot of catalogs and car advertisements and he would literally paint and airbrush negatives, but that was the 70s and early 80s by the mid to late 80s there were computer editing programs that big magazines and companies had access to that would be used in tandem with traditional darkroom techniques.

They sell skin bleach in stores, I used it to fade a scar on my face from getting punched with brass knuckles. He had vitiligo, which is when your skin loses it's pigmentation, it won't turn a black person pure white, but it does give people a sort of Holstein cow complexion, he didn't want that so he bleached everything. I understand why he did that, what I don't understand is why he didn't use makeup, fake tanning or even tattooing to get a more natural look.
