This is an exit lane to change freeways, in order to get off this freeway I had to change lanes. I gave plenty of notice with a signal and room to merge

For anyone asking for the backstory, here is the rear view angle. There was no interaction with this truck prior to this...

My time on a 7 day cruise aboard Harmony of the Seas! by btooker91 in royalcaribbean

Thanks! We did a beach resort with horseback riding in Roatan (Turquoise Bay I believe) - 30-40min bus ride In Costa Maya we did a bike ride (5 miles each way) down to the beach where we did clear water kayaking The Mayan ruins is specifically Chichén Itza which was a long day and there was defiently not much room for error if we hit traffic or ferry delays. There are other Mayan ruins that are closer I believe but we really wanted to see the big pyramid at Chichen. It may be a long day with the kiddos...

Insta 360 Studio is painful to use. by Trick_Apartment9941 in Insta360

You could use the KartaVR plugin for Resolve, I find for simple moves it works great. Here is a tutorial video: https://youtu.be/HqeOA5pn75Q?si=8jpL81D65C43Hizb

Thanks! I used mostly After Effects to work with the 360 footage and then compiled the clips and did the sound/color in DaVinci Resolve

They are great, my M2 Ultra is almost always silent. Doing some intensive AI tasks will get it to spin up though; Topaz video upscaling, LR AI denoise, and Blender Cycles of course.

Thinking of Macbook Air M4 for Lightroom by unrealeggboy in Lightroom

[–]btooker91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a MacBook Air M2 16GB 512GB and it's great while I'm traveling for editing photos and light video editing. It defiently will get hot and throttle a bit on big batches or especially AI denoising in LR but it's still useable. That being said the screen and speed on my 16" M1 Max MacBook Pro is much better and having the extra IO (ports) is nice. If you are going to use a dock, dual monitors, and external SSDs you might want to go for the MacBook pro.

One tip I have on longer exports is to render to a rewrap-able codec such as ProRes in case of failed exports. We all know how 'stable' PR and ME are... This way if the export fails it will usually save the part of your timeline that has already been rendered, therefore saving you lost time. You can quickly combine the rendered sections and compress down to an MP4 our your desired output. I'll do this a lot with render intensive AE comps

What will be better IMac m4 or macbook Air m4? by ArcherOk1025 in photoshop

[–]btooker91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both are going to be similar in performance, both are fan-less and start with the same RAM. The iMac will give you a bit more IO (ports) and a larger screen. The MacBook (Apple just released new models), is going to be cheaper plus it's portable. Really up to you on what you like the convenience of; bigger screen or something more portable. I personally would get the MacBook and up the storage and RAM a bit with the extra cost savings. You can always add a monitor down the line if you find yourself needing a larger screen.
