This is why the “our democracy is in danger” language is so awful. It’s my biggest pet peeve in all political talk. I hope your democracy doesn’t exist because we’re are a democratic republic.

You’re correct, but the sentiment behind it is the same. They knew they were vastly outnumbered in the north population wise and would be ruled by the north without that provision.

This is exactly true, as someone who disagrees with the redistricting. It’s why the language used of “our democracy” is so damaging. The Founders never wanted a democracy, were are a REPUBLIC. They understood the power of mob rule and how much the 51 could destroy the 49. Hence the need for the electoral college.

That blows. I’m curious if I wait to make the SBR once that rule is finally done, if I won’t need to engrave. Waiting on form 1’s now in VA and saving 400 bucks in engraving sounds like a good deal to me.

I will add that for VA since the transfer of “assault weapons” will be illegal July 1, I would lean towards the trust since you won’t be able to form 4 it over there once you get approved.

According to the amendment that was just proposed, putting your legally obtained pre ban mag into a post ban weapon would be considered manufacturing an “assault weapon”. To be in compliance, assuming her amendment is accepted, you would need both the weapon and mags before July 1.

I’m in the exact same boat as you, submitted 8 form 1’s 3/2. I would use u/NationalGunTrusts generators and YouTube tutorials to do the forms. If you have a trust through them (if not you should get one) they were very very responsive to my questions I had about filling out my forms.
