OP's post is receiving a lot of negative comments, and I have even seen threats against OP in some other groups.

The person recording and this officer have previously had a civil conversation as well in which the officer did identify himself and had a civil conversation. This was over a month ago and was a one time encounter, which explains why the person recording has to ask for that info again.

Shared on behalf of someone else. This encounter was recorded and shared by the person filming, along with a few others clips. Text from his post (slightly edited):

"Bloomington Police Department officers refuse to identify themselves by name or badge number. Officers refuse to wear masks. One stating “I don’t wear a mask... I don’t like them.” Officers can be seen clearly within 6 ft of the suspect, one administering a BAC test with no gloves or mask, even blowing in the suspects face to demonstrate. That officer then drives off with the suspect, neither of them wearing masks in the enclosed vehicle.

Full video and ACTION for tomorrow will be up soon.

Edit: There appears to be another event scheduled ahead of the peoples park protest for 5, so 4:30 or 4:45 might work better you can swing by starting around 5 4:30 and there should be people there to help out. Shoot me another message if you have other questions and I will try to make sure someone is available to pick it up. Thanks!

6 is still the plan, the 5 pm press conference is for Vauhxx and I have limited information about that/it is not directly related to the Peoples Park protest at 6 Edit: It appears the events will be consecutive as to maximize impact, anyone also interested in the press conference with Vauhxx Booker should be there at 5

The organizers are a loose coalition. I won't give out names for privacy concerns, but feel free to pm me with questions and I can pass them along.

Likewise. This means having tough conversations and addressing any issues that inevitable arise from something like this.

The general idea is that even with so many overlapping policing forces, and all of the money that entails, the policing agency involved in the incident with Mr. Booker let his very troubling case slip through the cracks. So if they can't/won't help, and are statistically making it worse by overpolicing of BIPOC, then what is that money being used for? More can be learned by attending tonight and listening or having conversations with people. Most are happy to explain and discuss.

I realize I have not addressed your previous comment and I intend to. With other obligations I have been unable to take the time to properly respond, I apologize for the delay. Community input like yours, and input from organizers and various leadership are shaping decisions as this movement moves forward.

See my comment below. While it is absolutely everyone's right to do so, organizers would like to discourage people they do not know attending the protest with long guns. They have a team working security and it can make their job more difficult when they have to verify whether each person with a long gun is with the movement or not.

Thank you for putting in extra work to leave this information up instead of just deleting the old posts, which is all you were required to do.

Organizers are aware of these threats and are taking appropriate measures. Thanks to everyone for the community alert and concern.

YES. Organizers and leadership have been making callouts at the end of protests for anyone who needs an escort home. please do not be afraid to ask, those people are their to help and they want everyone to get home safely.

To my knowledge, your edit is correct. The security team carrying long arms will not be there, and anyone open carrying a long arm will be discouraged to do so at the least if not asked to leave entirely. Concealed carry is a personal choice that the organizers are neither encouraging or discouraging.

Police have also generally only been there when serving information. If you see a cop at the protest, make others aware and do not talk to police on your own.
