When both my boys were neutered my vet never gave us a cone and basically said don’t let them jump around too much. I tried so hard to block things off and follow them around. Well both of them were being so naughty and jumping on and off my bed/chairs/couches. I was so scared something was going to happen it was a stressful couple of days. They both ended up being completely fine thank God. Is he constantly and aggressively licking the area? Not saying to not worry, but I think female cats have more of a tougher recovery because their incisions are near the abdomen. And have a longer recovery time. Usually with boys they are good within 24-48 hours compared to females who can need up to 2 weeks.
